Six years is somewhat lengthy for a building dedicated to basic education. During this period, the project encountered numerous difficulties, including the transition from rapid economic development to slowdown, adjustments in construction costs, epidemic control measures, and even policy impacts on international and private education. Despite these challenges, the project ultimately delivered a rare level of construction and operational quality among buildings for basic education. This is attributed to the immense trust and tolerance of the owner, Beichen Development Zone Corporation, and the user, Shanghai Guanghua Education Group and Tianjin Foreign Studies University Education Group, towards the architects, as well as their high-level and high-quality teaching management and daily operations and maintenance. It comprises a 48-class primary school section, a 24-class middle school section offering basic education with a foreign language focus, and a 24-class international high school section providing dual-track options for both domestic and international university admissions.
