The low-rise building has three floors and is completely enclosed by a continuous curtain wall façade with a load-bearing metal structure and composite slab flooring. Originally intended as a call centre, the building had virtually no insulation or adequate air conditioning systems. For this reason, the facilities had to be completely renovated and the building’s environmental performance improved. The floors are arranged like a small vertical city, with a gradient of privacy: the ground floor is the most public, open and accessible, while the top floor houses the rector’s office and other administrative spaces where greater confidentiality is required.
