By 2024, the two‑storey main structure of the homestay had been completed, before construction halted for external reasons. For two years, the exposed concrete frame stood exposed to mountain wind and rain. Concrete lost the stark rigidity of fresh casting, with patches of moss taking hold. Nature administered a baptism of time, imbuing the frame with distinctive character. Built‑in tolerance for local on‑site workmanship means casting formwork joints were not meticulously aligned, nor surface finishes smoothed.
