意大利热那亚——2026年6月：在 2026 年热那亚设计周期间，米兰建筑与设计事务所 m2atelier 发布实验性装置 THE CRAFTED CAPSULE，通过精心编排的材料体验序列，重新想象紧凑型居住的可能性。THE CRAFTED CAPSULE 诞生于一个六米（19.685 英尺）长的集装箱之中，它挑战了传统空间观念，展示了如何通过深思熟虑的设计、工艺与材料智慧，将极端空间限制转化为兼具舒适、美感与情感共鸣的环境。m2atelier 并未将限制视为障碍，而是将其作为一场精确性的练习。每一个表面、节点与材料都经过全面考量，形成完整的建筑叙事，空间氛围通过质感、光线、比例与感官深度共同生成。

 

Genoa, Italy — June, 2026: At Genova Design Week 2026, Milan-based architecture and design studio m2atelier unveils THE CRAFTED CAPSULE, an experimental installation that reimagines the possibilities of compact living through a carefully orchestrated sequence of material experiences. Conceived within a six-meter (19.685-foot) shipping container, THE CRAFTED CAPSULE challenges conventional notions of space, demonstrating how thoughtful design, craftsmanship and material intelligence can transform extreme spatial constraints into environments of comfort, beauty and emotional resonance. Rather than viewing limitation as an obstacle, m2atelier approaches the project as an exercise in precision. Every surface, junction and material has been considered to create a complete architectural narrative, where the atmosphere emerges through texture, light, proportion and sensory depth.

THE CRAFTED CAPSULE 通过 m2atelier 与四家意大利领先专业机构的紧密合作得以实现，每一方分别在制造、照明、纺织与皮革工艺领域提供专业支持。各方共同的工作展示了技术创新、材料品质与工艺卓越如何汇聚为一个高度考究的居住环境。

 

THE CRAFTED CAPSULE was realized through a close collaboration between m2atelier and four leading Italian specialists, each contributing expertise in fabrication, lighting, textiles, and leather craftsmanship. Together, their work demonstrates how technical innovation, material quality, and artisanal excellence can converge to create a highly considered living environment.

NIVA Srl 负责室内工程系统开发，并提供带肌理的金属墙板、金属网隔断墙、地面铺装及书架。该公司同时承担了大部分室内装配工程，并统筹整个项目的安装与组装。面板饰面由 MATERICA Srl 完成，采用激光切割 MDF 基材，并进行锌金属化处理、镜面抛光表面及蓝黑色透明涂层。两家公司均隶属于 Venice Excellence Valley。LUCE5 为 THE CRAFTED CAPSULE设计完整照明概念，并提供装置中的所有照明元素。照明被视为整体建筑构成的一部分，而非装饰层，它强化了集装箱的比例、材料与空间氛围，同时引导人在空间中的流动。其中标志性设计之一是床上方的发光镜面板，它放大空间深度，并增强紧凑内部的开放感。

 

NIVA Srl developed the interior engineering and supplied the textured metal wall panels, the metal mesh partition wall, the flooring, and the bookshelf. The company was responsible for the majority of the fit-out works and also managed the installation and assembly of the entire project. The panel finishes were carried out by MATERICA Srl, using a laser-cut MDF substrate with zinc metallization, a mirror-polished surface, and a blue-black tinted clear coating. Both companies are part of the Venice Excellence Valley. LUCE5 developed the complete lighting concept for THE CRAFTED CAPSULE, designing and supplying every lighting element throughout the installation. Conceived as an integral architectural component rather than a decorative layer, the lighting enhances the container’s proportions, materials, and atmosphere while guiding movement through the space. Among its signature interventions is the illuminated mirror panel above the bed, which amplifies depth and reinforces the sense of openness within the compact interior.

C&C Milano 作为纺织技术赞助方，与 m2atelier 紧密合作，通过精心策划的纺织材料体系定义装置的触觉与感官特性，其核心概念为高性能材料与“织物即建筑”。他们将织物视为空间体验的主动构成元素，为墙面提供 Tambora Pietra，为座椅与天花提供 Sahara Indigo，并提供采用独特 Washi 纱线制作的 Ponza 床品系列，以及 Eolo 羊绒毯，为紧凑空间带来柔软、温暖与舒适体验。

 

C&C Milano, serving as Textile Technical Sponsor, collaborated closely with m2atelier to define the installation’s tactile and sensory identity through a carefully curated textile palette rooted in high technical performance and the concept of “textile as architecture.” Treating textiles as active elements of the spatial experience, the company supplied Tambora Pietra for the walls, Sahara Indigo for the seating and ceiling, and the Ponza bedding collection crafted from exclusive Washi yarn completed with the Eolo cashmere plaid to bring softness, warmth, and comfort to the compact interior.

Foglizzo completed the material palette by supplying the distinctive blue leather used to upholster the raised bed platform and the structural elements supporting the sofa cushions. Renowned for its expertise in luxury leather craftsmanship, the company introduced richness, tactility, and visual depth that complement the installation’s metal, textile, and lighting elements. The leather’s refined finish reinforces the project’s emphasis on material authenticity while contributing warmth, intimacy, and a sense of elevated residential comfort. Through THE CRAFTED CAPSULE, m2atelier continues its exploration of contemporary living environments defined by craftsmanship, material authenticity and human experience. The installation serves as both a conceptual proposition and a practical demonstration of how thoughtful design can create emotional richness regardless of scale.
